Many years ago I was working for a big company. I was still young and 1 of the thing about my job which I enjoyed the most back then was that I had a chance to travel a lot. I really liked the fact that I can spend 1 day in Berlin , 1 week in Paris, and another day in Washington. I felt like it was type of travelling for free. Permanently, I had apartment in London and I loved it. I had my flat there, my friends, family and everything else what was making me content and what I needed to completely rest after so many business trips.
And then one day, completely unexpectedly, I have received this email that I was chosen to set up the office in another city. At first I wasn’t totally aware what it meant for me. I was thinking that it meant only more short travels. But then it turned out that I had to move to Poland. Not only travel to Poland but quite moved there. I gotta admit that I wasn’t sure what to think. I need to also admit that I wasn’t very happy about that. I not only had to give up on London and move to new country, but also to one of these Eastern European countries, I have never been to before. But made a decision to give it a try. It was supposed to be just for three years so I decide that it was not that tragic after all.
So you may be curious what has happened that I have been in Poland 20 years longer? My reply is rather simple. I just fall in love with Poland.

It wasn’t love at the first sight. It didn’t occur immediately. It took few months. But as soon as I arrived I noticed that individuals are amazing. Even though they do not smile on the street and they are not very talkative, they are highly helpful if there is any problem. You can be sure that if something is going wrong, there is always somebody who is going to react and help you. I also fall in love with Polish women.

They are so gorgeous. I am convinced that it is rather needless to say that my wife is also Polish? What’s more, I fall in love with Polish customs. I really like that they are so close with their families and they spend all of those amazing traditional holidays together. Surely, sometimes I had also hard moments. E.g., when I couldn’t speak Polish and nobody around was speaking English. However then I decided to sign for polish course warsaw and now I am fluent- more info: polish course warsaw! So as you may see – that was not always easy, but it was absolutely worth it.
